Samtskhe-Javakheti. The joint cleaning event was organized on September 14 with participation of the civic clubs of the Akhaltsikhe and Adigeni Municipalities, environmental organizations and the local population, as part of the action - "Let's Clean the World – Let's Clean Georgia".

"Taking part in the cleaning rally is a duty of every citizen. The population is obliged to live in the clean environment, which is a necessary precondition of a sound environment", - the booklets of this content were disseminated by the civic club members to the local population at the general cleaning day, urging them to be actively involved in the event.

The event participants have cleaned various districts of the municipality. The event has continued for three days. The Cleaning Service of the Akhaltsikhe Municipality has joined the event and its staff have removed the collected waste by cars.

The campaign "Let's Clean the World" is held annually in September under the aegis of the United Nations and leadership of environmental organizations, and Georgian is an active participant among up to 35 million citizens from 130 involved states.
