Shida Kartli. The meeting of the Women’s Forum was held on September 20 in the office of the Gori Club of the Disabled as part of the project "Integration of Ethnic Minorities in the Electoral Processes”. The project is implemented by the Gori Club of the Disabled and the organization "Kartlis Deda” (Mother of Georgia) with funding from the Electoral Systems Development Reforms and Training Center.

Ethnically Azerbaijani women and persons with disabilities residing in the Gori Municipality and the local NGOs were invited to the meeting.

The forum aims to promote the integration of ethnic minorities and persons with disabilities in the society and boost their participation in the political processes.

The discussion was held at the meeting on the following issues: What is the key function of a woman? Positive and negative aspects of involvement of women in politics; factors preventing the involvement of women in politics; opinion of the Azerbaijani community about active civil position of women; what traits should a political candidate participating in the elections have.
