“Urban Heritage - Problems and Prospects”
Adjara. Organization "Batomi" and
"Tiflis Hamqari" have organized a public meeting on April 4 in the
Batumi Arts University.Representatives of the Adjara
Government, Adjarian Agency for Protection of Cultural Heritage, the Supreme
Council of Adjara, Batumi Sakrebulo and City Hall, CSOs, city residents,
urbanists, architects and other interested persons have participated in the conference,
which aimed to discuss projects implemented in Batumi for rehabilitation of
cultural heritage. Further, meeting participants have discussed existing
problems and prospects in terms of protection of urban heritage. Along with the
meeting, a photo-exhibition "Vanished Batumi" was organized.
