Public Lecture: ‘’Gender and Sexuality in the Georgian Cinema’’

Kakheti. Heinrich Boll Foundation has organized a public lecture of cinema expert TamtaTatarashvili in the Telavi Media Cafe on "Gender and Sexuality in the Georgian Cinema". CSO representatives, journalists, students and interested persons have attended the lecture.
According to the cinema expert, gender researcher TamtaTatarashvili, 8 public lectures will be delivered as part of the project in the Telavi Media cafe, under the common title "Who is Afraid of Feminism in Georgia". She says the project aims to raise awareness on the idea of equality: "The topic of my lecture was the repressed sexuality in the Georgian cinema. We discussed the representation of female and male faces in the Georgian Soviet movie. Main objective was to identify and comprehend the texts from the well-known and beloved movies with a critical eye."
