Tbilisi. A brochure on Soil Bioengineering Techniques was
prepared within the scope of the Climate Change Adaptation and Natural Disaster
Mitigation (CCADM)
project, which is being implemented by CENN in six municipalities of Georgia
with the support of USAID.
The
brochure was prepared based on the translation and adaptation
to the Georgian context of the 5th chapter of A Soil Bioengineering Guide for Streambank and
Lakeshore Stabilization (2002) published
by the U.S. Forest Service
The publication of the brochure has
been agreed with the U.S. Forest Service.
It is targeted at rural communities,
landscape architects and those involved in the soil protection projects using
bioengineering techniques.
The methods described in the brochure
are used by the U.S. Forest Service and environmental and business
organizations to stabilize stream banks and lakeshores.
