Tips for Women Candidates Participating in the 2014 Self-Government Elections
Adjara. Representatives of the Gender Equality
Network have met with local women voters and single-seat candidates on May 22
in the Batumi Civic Engagement Center.Meeting participants have discussed aspects that
candidates should focus on during their election campaigns. Persons with
disabilities have also attended the meeting along with the election entities.
Candidates have talked about their vision on protecting the rights of persons
with disabilities. The Georgian Gender Equality Network is organizing similar
meetings in all regions of Georgia. The Network operates since 2012 and aims to increase women
participation in politics.
