New Model of Children's Early Development to be Introduced in Georgia
Tbilisi. A conference was held on May 30 on the
introduction in Georgia of a new model of early integration of children's
development. Representatives of the public sector and CSOs, as well as the
health and social welfare specialists have discussed the issue.A
new model of children's early development ensures the discovery of preventive
and development problems at an early stage in children with special needs.
15,000 children require early intervention services in Georgia, and currently
only 350 children can use these services with state funding.The
conference was organized by the Georgian Association of Child Neurologists and
Neurosurgeons, with support of the "Open Society - Georgia"
Foundation.
