“Prosecutor's Office Must be Able to Prove Systemic Crimes”

Tbilisi. "Young Barristers" has released a statement. It urges "the Chief Prosecutor's Office to launch complex work to identify systemic crimes, because the so-called "high-profile" cases are characterized with episodic charges whereas the crime was of a systemic nature – degrading and inhuman treatment of inmates, giving up the property, tenders won for symbolic prices, distribution of shares in media business, white-collar crimes. Accordingly, we find the current efforts aimed at identifying systemic crimes to be insufficient," says the statement.
