Tbilisi. "Young
Barristers" has released a statement. It urges "the Chief
Prosecutor's Office to launch complex work to identify systemic crimes, because
the so-called "high-profile" cases are characterized with episodic
charges whereas the crime was of a systemic nature – degrading and inhuman
treatment of inmates, giving up the property, tenders won for symbolic prices,
distribution of shares in media business, white-collar crimes. Accordingly, we
find the current efforts aimed at identifying systemic crimes to be
insufficient," says the statement.
