Samtskhe-Javakheti. The project titled "Introducing Co-Participative Monitoring System of Rare and Endangered Species in the Borjom-Kharagauli National Park" was presented on July 31 in Borjomi. Members of the action group have informed environmental CSOs and active youngsters about the project's specifics and discussed their importance.
The project will launch in September. A small grants competition will be announced for interested organizations to involve them in the project. Along with environmental CSOs, 30 youngsters will participate in planned activities, who will be selected in advance. In the beginning of September they will undergo a week of training in the Atskuri camp and gain experience in the field practice and application of contemporary methods, to be used in the future throughout their biodiversity monitoring activities.
CSO "Nakresi" implements the project in partnership with the Samtskhe-Javakheti Media Center and the Borjom-Kharagauli National Park.
