Adjara. Representatives of CSO "Identoba" have met in Batumi with youngsters interested in problems of sexual minorities. The meeting aimed to show the film produced by "Identoba", collect opinions on the film and present the results of conducted study. The study concerned the frequency of application by courts of amendments made to the Criminal Code of Georgia on 19 April 2012. Pursuant to these amendments, when appointing a sentence, the court will consider an offence committed because of race, skin color, language, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, religion, political or other opinion, disability, nationality, national,ethnic or social belonging, origin, property or official status, place of residence or other sign of discrimination as an aggravating circumstance of a crime committed based on intolerance. Meeting participants have discussed also the reasons leading to the public's robust attitude towards the LGBT topics.
