Adjara. The youth CSO of persons with
disabilities – "Changes for Equal Rights" - has organized a project
summary meeting on September 2 in the Batumi Press Cafe. The project –
"Time for Changes" was implemented in Batumi for 6 months. The
project aimed to advocate the rights of persons with disabilities and promote
their inclusion in the society. To this end, various activities were
implemented as part of the project, the key of which was the establishment of
the Coordination Council working on the issues of persons with disabilities
with the Adjara Government. In addition, as part of the project persons with
disabilities were trained on number of occasions in conducting advocacy
campaigns and improving leadership skills. They were involved in various civil
activities and events. Representatives of the local third sector, media outlets
and the state agencies have attended the project summary meeting. The project
was implemented with financial support of the coalition "For Independent
Life".
