A round table – “public safety and non-governmental organizations”
Tbilisi. A round table of discussion was held by "Young Barristers” on the issue of "public safety and non-governmental organizations". More than 20 non-governmental organizations discussed issues of national security and public safety at the meeting and appealed a joint statement to the government on the issue of the protection of public safety. "We believe that in the process of the security, stability and the protection of civil rights, non-governmental organizations working in Georgia have a special responsibility. Accordingly, if the third sector take part in the turmoil, directly damage civil institutions. Therefore, Georgian executive authorities should pay particular attention to the protection of public safety, to implement legally allowed preventions and to carry out the provisions for the protection of the fundamental concept of national security activities "- said in the text.
