100 years ago, the world’s first Muslim woman Deputy was elected in Georgia. Georgian press of 1918 proudly wrote that among voters of the Eroba of Tbilisi Mazra there would be Fari-Khanum Sofieva, a Muslim woman, representing the Karajala district. After the proclamation of the Democratic Republic of Georgia, elections of Erobas were conducted in the main Mazras of the country.
