American Councils is seeking families in Tbilisi who are willing to host visiting foreign (American and other) students and interns for periods ranging from several days to several months. Families will receive $11.5 per night, and must provide an individual room and breakfast. The food does not have to be expensive or fancy: the same food that your family usually eats everyday for meals.

If necessary, the family should show the student or intern how to use public transportation to reach his or her place of study or work.

The length of stay depends on the student or intern. Payment will be received through American Councils' office at 35-A Chavchavadze Avenue in Vake. Families will receive payment from American Councils office by wire transfer, monthly.

Preference will be given to families that reside closer to the center of the city. Knowledge of English is not necessarily required. Some students require families with some English facility, while others specifically request families where no English is spoken.
