The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), through the Rule of Law Program administered by the East-West Management Institute (EWMI), is pleased to continue its judicial exchange activities.
The purpose of this initiative is to further strengthen the professional capacity of individual civil and administrative judges in Georgia to work effectively and efficiently, and to provide opportunities to gain knowledge and skills in both specific and more general subject areas.
The USAID Rule of Law Program has designed a number of activities to bring Georgian civil and administrative judges to the United States. These activities started in Fall 2022 and are expected to continue through Fall 2026.
The USAID Rule of Law Program is now announcing a call for first- and second-instance (including magistrate) Georgian civil and administrative judges with high-level English skills to submit their application for a two-week secondment with a U.S. court that will take place in September 2023. This activity is planned under the Rule of Law Program`s judicial exchange activities, which include the placement of Georgian judges in U.S. courts.
