Grant Applications to Implement a Competitive Grant Program

The USAID Resilient Communities Program is accepting grant applications to implement a competitive grant program that aims to support business associations to strengthen agricultural and tourism market systems in 11 municipalities alongside the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL).

The aim of this RFA is to strengthen the organizational capacity of sectoral associations and transform them into leaders and catalysts of sectoral growth. By achieving strategic objectives and leveraging their networks, these associations may serve as effective platforms for disseminating modern knowledge and best practices, devising innovative mechanisms to reach more members, and ultimately benefiting more market system actors (for more information, please refer to Section IB "Capacity Building Grant Program Description").

In the context of this RFA, an Association refers to a legally registered non-profit, non-governmental, organization that serves a particular sector and offers its members various business support services.

Grants under this RFA will be awarded and implemented in accordance with USAID and US Government regulations governing grants under contracts and the USAID Resilient Communities Program`s internal grant management policies. The USAID Resilient Communities Program investments in individual grant activities are anticipated to be up to USD 45, 000. The leveraged contribution from selected grantees is anticipated to be either cash or in-kind, and at least 30% of the total project cost. Therefore, for a USD 45, 000 grant, the applicant would contribute approximately USD $19, 300 to the overall project, either in cash or in kind.
