Kutaisi Education Development and Employment Center is seeking for the qualified candidate for the position of Development Coordinator Assistant.
General Description:
The Development Coordinator Assistant is responsible for assisting of development coordinator in developing, executing and evaluating a program to secure public, non-governmental and private support for KEDEC. The Assistant will work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers to identify, cultivate, and solicit prospects (individuals, local businesses corporations and foundations) capable of making gifts, grants or donations to support the organization's mission. The Development Coordinator Assistant will report to the Development Coordinator.
Responsibilities/Duties:
** Participate in development and implementation short and long-term strategies including workplans to identify, cultivate and solicit donor support.
** Cultivate, manage and support all donors and donor relationships including individual donors, local businesses, corporate donors and foundation funders to ensure long-term support of the organization and its mission.
** Oversee all fundraising events/meetings/campaigns, including the selection and supervision of any staff, volunteers and/or independent contractors needed.
** Public relations responsibility for the organization including the production of media materials for TV, distribution online and in print to donors and potential donors, such as solicitations, appeals, and the annual report.
** Coordinate with necessary staff in the development of messaging strategies and materials for outreach to KEDEC's supporters, clients and the general public.
** Provide accurate and timely reports on fundraising from donors (individual, business/corporate and foundations) to the Development Coordinator.
** Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Skills and Experience Required:
** Excellent professional presentation skills, written and verbal. Strong writing skills must include the ability to compose, edit and develop proposals and documents both independently and collaboratively.
** Public speaking experience to large groups as well as strong interpersonal skills when working with small groups or in one-on-one settings.
** English and Russian proficiency required - spoken and written.
** Demonstrated ability to work within complex organizational environments, supporting numerous projects and teams concurrently.
** Computer knowledge and competency including Word, Excel, Power Point and database management.
** Organized, resourceful, flexible, self-starter capable of meeting deadlines when working independently and as a strong team player to take initiative and simultaneously manage multiple tasks and projects.
** Results oriented professional willing to work towards organization goals.
Desired qualifications:
** Experience with communication technologies such as social networking, etc.
** Well-established networks within philanthropic/NGO communities.
** Prior fundraising experience.
** Prior public relations experience.
General:
** Ensure compliance with Georgian laws
** Assist the finance staff with budget preparations, cash flow projections and annual audits
** Maintain the integrity of online and offline databases
** Other duties as assigned.
