The Embassy of the Netherlands in Georgia, together with the Georgian Partnership for Road Safety, is organizing a Traffic and Road Safety Seminar in Tbilisi on the 25th of February. The issue of traffic management and road safety affects all of us. To solve these issues, cooperation between independent experts, local and national governments, companies and citizens is of the utmost importance.
For the seminar two Dutch world renowned experts have been invited to hold lectures, professor Fred Wegman and Mr Godthelp. Both speakers possess a wealth of experience on the topic of road safety, and have participated in seminars and policy initiatives around the world.
Together with the two speakers, five Dutch companies are also coming to Tbilisi for the seminar. Each of these companies is specialized in a different field related to road safety.
Yet the seminar will not only cover road safety, but also issues related to traffic management, such as congestion and public transportation in the cities and on the highways. The objective of the seminar is to bring together policy makers, experts and interested business partners to share best practices and discuss effective strategies to improve road safety in Georgia.
Of course, since this will be a seminar about Georgian issues, we would welcome as much Georgian input as possible.
