Regional Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP): Demonstration Programme for the Regional Action of the European Union to Support the Greening of Economies in the EaP countries (Armenia,Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine)

Project Context:
The project comprises the UNIDO component of the Regional Action of the European Union to support the EU Eastern Partnership Programme on Greening of Economies in the EaP countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) - EaP GREEN. The UNIDO component supports in each of the six EaP countries individually as well as regionally, the creation of human and institutional capacities for RECP, the demonstration, dissemination and replication of RECP in priority sectors (chemicals, food and construction materials), and transfer of and investment in RECP technologies. Objective of the UNIDO component is to improve resource productivity and environmental performance of businesses at the national and local levels.
Energy Efficiency Center Georgia provides administrative services to facilitate UNIDO RECP Demonstration Component Project of the EaP GREEN in Georgia.
Functions of the National Experts
The project is seeking National Experts who will:
** Actively participate in practical training of national experts (auditors) in RECP Methods and Techniques. The training will be provided by International Experts. The International Experts in RECP Methods and Techniques are expected to deliver the training in RECP methods and techniques, and coach national experts in the application of such methods in demonstration companies.
** Conduct the RECP assessments in selected demonstration companies from one or more of the target industrial sectors including food/agro processing, production of construction materials, chemicals;
** Develop a report on findings of the assessment with recommendations on improving environmental performance and opportunities for application of RECP methodologies in the audited companies.
National experts will work under the overall guidance of the project National Coordinator and Support Unit assigned at national level to support implementation of the project. They will work in close cooperation with other national experts to be trained and representatives of enterprises in which RECP assessment will be undertaken.
Education: Master’s degree or equivalent advanced university degreewith specialisation in engineering, production technologies, applied science, business management and/or environment discipline.
Experience:
** Practical experience relevant to industrial development, technology, environmental and energy management in industrial enterprises;
** Understanding of production cycle and technologies in one or more of the following industries: agro/food processing, beverages, construction materials and chemicals;
** Understanding of Green Economy concept, Green Growth, Clean production, Energy efficiency concept and methodologies;
** Experience in working with private sector organizations, as well as experience in working with industrial companies.
Competencies:
** Good organizational and interpersonal skills, high sense of responsibility;
** Good time management and communication skills;
** Ability to clearly express ideas in oral and written forms, accuracy in task implementation and concentration;
** Ability to work under pressure and with strict deadlines;
** Ability to establish and maintain working relations in a team;
** Good knowledge of English.
