The International Education Center was established according to the initiative of the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili in 2014. The Center aims to contribute to the economic, social and democratic development of the country by improving the quality of education and preparing qualified professionals. The International Education Center supports young specialists in their endeavors to gain relevant skills and knowledge and meet internationally accepted professional standards, finances master's degree, doctoral degree, and public servants' professional retraining and qualification enhancement multidisciplinary programs in leading higher education institutions around the world.

The International Education Center announced a call for Scholarship application for Master and Doctoral programs.
