Request for proposal 

CSI requirestheappointmentofsuitableindependentartists/designer/consultantsand/orcompaniestolayout (LOT 1) and print (LOT2) the project management handbook "Drive Social Change” in Georgian and in the English language in the period of mid-September 15 to beginning/mid-October 2015.

The suppliers are required to be innovative, efficient, reliable, and able to design a creative "look and feel” which is appealing for adult learning.

Candidates may either apply to LOT1 or to both LOT1+LOT2. Applications to LOT2 only will not be considered.

LOT1

Deliverables

• One English and one Georgian full-color version of the electronic, editable design file is ready for printing in one of the following file formats: Adobe Illustrator or Adobe InDesign;
• The final designed electronic publications in both languages, English and Georgian, for web upload in pdf format.

The service provider is expected to assign all rights and titles to CSI for all materials, information, inventions, or other work product generated by them in the course and scope of performing the service.

Work Flow

The workflow for the layout process is as outlined below:

• Word version of the 210 page manuscript in English and approximately 230 page manuscript in the Georgian language with illustrations, charts, tables, and photographs are sent to the service provider for layout by CSI’s contact person;
• Service provider lays out manuscript both in English and Georgian version and sends to CSI contact person for review and final proofread;
• CSI contact person either approves as a camera-ready template or returns to the service provider for corrections;
• The service provider corrects and returns to the CSI contact person. Further corrections may be necessary and the service provider must be prepared to do these to CSI’s satisfaction (until the contact person signs off the manuscript as "camera-ready”), after which the service provider will be reimbursed according to the contract.

Quotations Request

Suppliers are requested to supply a quote for the following types of pages inclusive design concept fee:

• Cover page design; 
• "text-only” page rate;
• "text plus table, charter picture rate; 
• "text plus provided illustration” rate.

Selection process

In appointing the supplier CSI will take into consideration:

• Sample draft style sheets for the cover page, chapter pages, and text pages with proposed page size, orientation, and layout with font types and sizes, color scheme, and design elements; 
• Samples of previous work (suppliers may send samples to CSI in hardcopy or print to support their quotation); 
• Experience in creating educational material for adult learning; 
• Cost; 
• Proposed timeframe to layout both manuscripts.

LOT 2

Deliverables

Print of the Georgian language handbook in full-color printing with soft-cover binding.

Quotation request

Suppliers are requested to supply a quote for 300 and 500 pcs. by paper quality.

Costs and Production time. 

Applicants are requested to submit their application with a CV, a sample of previous work, proposed style sheets, cost quotation, and work plan by Monday, September 10, 2015 – 2 pm Tbilisi time.
