French embassy Human Rights Prize 2016, call for applications

The Human Rights Prize of the French embassy in Georgia was established to reward grass-roots organisations that are committed to protect and promote human rights in Georgia.
The French embassy is pleased to announce the launch of the first edition of the Prize, which will be awarded on International Human Rights Day on 10 December 2016.
Any Georgian non-governmental organization is invited to present a field action or a project carried out in the country, relating to the theme chosen for 2016 "equality and the fight against discriminations”.
Applications should be complete in Georgian and in French or English, and should be submitted by 7 November 2016.
The 1000-euro Prize will be awarded by H.E. Pascal Meunier, French Ambassador to Georgia. The aim of this Prize is to encourage human rights defenders in their struggle to promote equality and to fight against any type of discriminations.
