USAID Zrda Activity in Georgia, financed by USAID and implemented by "Chemonics Georgia", "Georgia branch of Chemonics International Inc", is seeking sub-award applications to initiate and facilitate development and introduction of certificate training program for tour guides, and create of a pool of qualified tour guides in Akhmeta Municipality, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Samegrelo regions through comprehensive, industry-driven certification training programs. This certification program will stimulate new job creation and raise employment in the target regions. The first pilot training shall be implemented in Akhmeta Municipality, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Samegrelo regions in late summer / early fall 2018. As per the initial estimations, in 2018, Zrda expects that the selected implementing partner shall deliver the certification trainings to up to 80 potential tour guides. The beneficiaries of the program will be tour operators, hospitality sector actors, youth, local and international visitors/tourists.
Zrda expects to make a single award for this activity. The sub-award will be awarded and implemented in accordance with USAID and US Government regulations governing sub-awards under corporative agreement and USAID Zrda Activity in Georgia`s internal sub-award management policies.
