Shida Kartli. On June 5, 2017 Journalists Network for Gender Equality (JNGE) through IFES support launched "Men for Women`s Political Participation” campaign. The goal of the campaign is to engage local male community leaders and opinion-makers in promoting women`s political participation issues as well as motivate them to become gender advocates in their respective communities. On June 6, Gori Gender Media Center hosted the first discussion. Chairperson of Gori Sakrebulo, staffers of Gamgeoba, representatives of CSOs/media and lawyers attended the meeting. Special presentations on the importance of men’ engagement in promoting women’s political participation issues were delivered by Natia Omadze, director of Gori Media Center, Zaza Chipashvili, director of Gori Democracy School and Goga Aptsiauri, journalist of Radio Liberty.
