Tbilisi. The "Young Greens of Georgia” has
released a statement in the social network. "April 4 is the World Stray Animal
Day. For some reason this problem in Georgia is not a high priority and it is
not either duly emphasized or adequately reacted to by the state. We, the Young
Greens believe that the state must regulate this problem at legislative and
institutional levels, because it will be impossible to manage the population of
stray animals until the relevant law is adopted in Georgia. Further, it is
necessary to raise public awareness and increase sensitivity towards these
issues. The citizens must acknowledge the responsibility of taking care of the
animals,” says the statement.
