The participants have discussed the mistakes made by the Georgian media when covering violence and how the journalists should behave when working on such topics. Tbilisi. The Coalition "For Media Advocacy" has released a statement concerning the developments in the Public Broadcaster. The Coalition believes that bringing in order the situation in the Public Broadcaster and creating a normal work regime is possible only through structural reorganization, which in the first place implies the formation of a new Board of Trustees, as well as clear delimitation of powers between the Board of Trustees and the television's executive management.The Coalition urges the Parliament of Georgia to expedite the examination of amendments and supplements to the Law on Broadcasting. Kakheti.Telavi Youth Initiative Group started collecting books for the inmates. The initiative aims to collect Georgian books for the inmates and provide them to the prison libraries. Tbilisi. On March 2, NGO "Legal Development and Consultations Group" has presented the results of the project "Social Media for the Integration of Youth" and awarded the winner bloggers. The project aimed at enhancing inter-cultural communication among the youngsters of various ethnicities living in Georgia and raising their civil awareness. Senior schoolchildren of Georgian, Armenian and Azerbaijani origins from the Akhaltsikhe and Marneuli schools were involved in the project. As part of the project, youngsters have created youth blogs, where they have posted information and discussed their own culture, traditions and issues of concern to them. The project was implemented with financial support of the German Marshall Fund (The Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation – German Marshall Fund).

The Georgian National Communications Commission (GNCC) has responded to the study prepared by the "Levan Mikeladze Foundation" and the "Georgian Young Lawyers' Association" about the Commission. Authors of the study believe that the Commission should play a more active role in the process of transition to digital broadcasting. According to the statement of the Georgian National Communications Commission, the Commission is involved in all work processes.
