Mtskheta-Mtianeti. Bulachauri Green Center hosted the second Green Camp for Young Leaders and Innovators.  The EU-supported camp was organized by CENN in partnership with Caritas Czech Republic. Kakheti. On 24 June 2019, Association Rural Development for Future Georgia (RDFG) organized an opening of the EU-supported youth camp for the members of the RDFG Young Farmers Centers (YFC).  The camp aims to increase knowledge in agriculture field from theory and practice, also, to emphasize the importance of the vocational education as a career choice for youth. Within the three-day youth camp, the members of the Young Farmers Centers (YFC) will have an opportunity to attend the training sessions about veterinary, viniculture, bee-keeping and fruit-vegetables processing, as well as receive information about the benefits of the vocational education. Kakheti. Within the framework of the EU-supported project “Promoting inclusive and participatory local development in Akhmeta Municipality”, Action Against Hunger and the Kakheti Regional Development Foundation hosted a Youth Camp.  The camp brought together 20 young people from different communities of the municipality to receive training on youth leadership, personal development and communication skills. Above all, the Youth Camp served as an ideal platform to promote youth engagement in the Local Action Group (LAG) that will be formed in Akhmeta in the coming months. On 6-10 May 2019, a study visit to Austria was organized for the Keda Local Action Group (LAG) members. Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Ajara A/R and Deputy Mayor of Keda Municipality also took part in the visit. The study tour was supported by the EU ENPARD program and was organized by the Austrian Institute for Regional Studies and Spatial Planning (ÖIR) in partnership with CENN. The aim of the visit was to learn more about LEADER principals, the LAG role in the development of the Local Development Strategies and the section process of local development sub-projects. In the framework of the visit, participants held meetings with representatives of the Austrian Ministry of Sustainability and Tourism, Austrian Development Agency and the Ambassador of Georgia to Austria. Kakheti. Over 100 people, most of them children, parents and educators as well as invited guests enjoyed the Festival "Positive Parenthood” in Leliani village, Lagodekhi municipality. The EU-supported festival aimed to promote healthy parenting practices, by demonstrating joint sports and entertaining activities of parents and children that encouraged their closer releationship and friendship. Organization of public events and trainings on positive parenting is the initiative of Leliani Adult Education Center. It was selected for EU funding by CARE and Lagodekhi LAG under the ENPARD rural development project. The initiative was launched in January 2019 with a series of information meetings with Lagodekhi resident parents, both mothers and fathers, educators and children of 6-18 age. The trainings aim to promote proper and healthy practices of parenting. At the meetings, psychologists inform the participants about the main stages and crises of child development, and the ways to overcome them. They discuss important topics, particularly conflict situations and how to manage them in a peaceful way. Parents and children are also engaged in the making of animation movie on positive parenting. The trainings cover all communities in the municipality and are very popular among the residents. During the trainings, participants had an opportunity to increase their knowledge and skills in the following directions: implementation of context analysis, identification of intervention strategy and related goals and outcomes; project design and planning; development of indicators for each level of the project; allocation of resources, budgeting and project monitoring; reporting and project close.
