Kvemo Kartli. The Rustavi Youth Center has organized on December14-15 a seminar in the International Scout Center on "Georgia's Future - Peace". Youngsters at conflict with the law have also participated in the event. Over two days, invited trainers and lecturers have discussed the Euro integration issues and ways of conflict resolution. Kvemo Kartli. SIQA has organized the regional debates tournament in Rustavi on December 8. School-based civic club members from the Rustavi and Bolnisi Municipalities have participated in the event. The debates tournament was carried out in the format of the Karl Popper values, under the resolution "monarchic rule is justified in Georgia". 8 teams participating in the tournament were trained by peer educators. Tbilisi. A reading-working corner designed for students with visual impairments was presented in the library of the IvaneJavakhishvili Tbilisi State University. Persons with visual impairments will be able to use a computer and printer independently for the first time in Georgia. This project was initiated by the students of TSU's Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and implemented with funding from the "Open Society - Georgia" Foundation. Kakheti. CSO "Tanadgoma" has organized a meeting on November 28 with participation of teachers and leaders of the family-type house for children without parental care. Meeting participants have discussed issues such as the age development of children and the health of adolescents. The project runs for a year and will be completed in February. The project aims at informing the teachers of specific knowledge for communicating with beneficiaries and teaching its effective application in practice.

Tbilisi. AYEG has held the trainings in "Entrepreneurship” from November 9th till 24th for the Tbilisi school pupils from 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th classes. The aim of the training is to develop the knowledge and skills of schools students in entrepreneurship, through piloting the entrepreneurship education on the level of secondary education in Georgia and introducing best approaches of entrepreneurship spirit development. Together with the theoretical materials the training consists of business simulation, discussions and practical group works. The project "Piloting Entrepreneurship Education in Public Schools of Georgia” is being implemented with the financial support of the U.S. EMBASSY. Adjara. On November 19, the East-West Management Institute has informed the students of the Batumi State University about the "Paid Internship” program. Attending audience was informed in detail about the requirements and conditions for participating in the program. Master’s and PhD students who currently study in the higher education institutions or who have just recently graduated, as well as the students with Bachelor’s Degree who intend to continue with Master’s studies are eligible.

Tbilisi. On November 18-19, 2013 GYLA and the Caucasus Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development arranged a training for the representatives of the small and medium business sector.    The training was held in the framework of the EU funded project "Promoting Well-Managed Migration between EU and Georgia”. One of the project directions migration and development implies increase of the role of Georgian Diaspora in state development process and establishment of suitable conditions for sharing their knowledge-experience.  Erekle Inashvili, who received education in Germany and has relevant experience facilitated the training. Tbilisi. CSO "Identity" has hosted the law faculty students of the Georgian universities and delivered a training on legal aspects of the LGBT issues. Imereti. Discussion on "Mediation and Prospects for Its Development" was held as part of the project of the Foundation for the Support of Legal Education of the Georgian Young Lawyers' Association. The discussion was held in Kutaisi, hosted by the AkakiTsereteli State University, and attended by the judges, notaries and students.As the expert of the National Center for Mediation Giorgi Tsertsvadze has noted, mediation is a dispute resolution method with assistance from a neutral third person. The organization tries to introduce this practice in the Georgian reality.Since 1 October 2013, the National Center for Mediation has already delivered trainings to several notaries. Currently there are 18 trained mediators in Georgia.

Kakheti. Training in foundations of marketing was delivered on November 11 in Telavi for the social enterprises as part of the project – "Supporting Social Entrepreneurship in the Kakheti Region". A two-day training attempted to promote the development of social enterprises of villages Nukriani, Napareuli and Gulgula. According to the Cultural Programs Coordinator of the Community Development Center Nino Sanadiradze, the training covered the pricing, foundations of marketing and introduction of advertising activities.

Adjara. Another project of CSO ArtWay – "Art-Focused Seminars" has officially completed. Final meeting with participation of LashaBughadze and DatoTurashvili was held in the Batumi Press Cafe. Four seminars were organized as part of the project: contemporary Georgian/European theatre and the topic of love/sex in dramaturgy; foundations of Georgian photography and its development by periodicals; creative psychology and "Art Therapy"; Georgian and European literature; chronological development of the Georgian literature. Samegrelo. Transparency International Georgia's Zugdidi office released a blog post - "A school without a building of its own". "The school in Kanti has been allocated to a one-story wooden building that was burnt down as a result of a sudden fire in 2010. The school’s furniture was also destroyed in the fire. Since then, the school’s administration has been renting an adjacent iron structure belonging to a store. Initially, the teachers paid the rent themselves, but it is now covered by the municipal budget. Tbilisi. On November 2, the U.S. Embassy hosted the 11th Annual EducationUSA College Fair at the National Parliamentary Library. Over 1700 students visited with 26 American university representatives to talk about their future and how colleges in the U.S. can help. This year’s fair was organized by the U.S. Embassy, in collaboration with the official EducationUSA advising center in Georgia, the Center for International Education (CIE). Samegrelo. Lawyers of the Zugdidi Office of "Transparency International - Georgia" have delivered a training on November 1 on the property rights. Students of the Law Faculty of the ShotaMeskhia State Learning University have attended the training. They were briefed about the property registration related procedures, as well as the concrete cases and facts of infringement upon property rights in Samegrelo and Svaneti. Imereti. The Research-Intellectual Club has hosted the III stage information meeting of program of "Dialogue of Generations". Over three months 18 volunteers selected as part of the program will participate together with the organization in the society development process, planning and implementation of various events.
