Kakheti. In the village Kisiskhevi of Telavi Municipality the movie show was held in the public school hall initiated by NGO "My Village 2008”. The public school pupils, teachers and school civil club members attended the movie show.The organization representatives said movie show was quite interesting; it was followed by a discussion.

Samtskhe-Javakheti. On July 16 the movie show was held in a conference hall of NGO "Union of Democrat Meskhs” in Akhaltsikhe within framework of the project "Strengthen National Integration”. The film told the story of a young talented musician. The movie show was attended by the organization youth network members.    

Tbilisi. On July 15, 2014, Public Defender of Georgia addressed the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia to initiate disciplinary proceedings against the employees of the Akhalkalaki Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs who refused the entrance to the representative of Public Defender to the temporary detention isolator  on July 11. "According to the media, the Statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia indicated that the information provided by Public Defender is not true. ...Public Defender considers that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia shall immediately launch in-service inspection on the alleged fact committed at Akhalkalaki Police Department on July 11. Adjara. On July 15 the exhibition of social housing projects was held in Batumi Art Teaching University. Projects were developed by Bern, Batumi and Tbilisi University students. On base of an official agreement with Batumi self-government and Swiss development agency the students prepared up to 40 projects; among them 25 best works were handed to the city government with protection of copyright and rights of make changes. According to the mentioned projects Batumi City Hall is planning to build "cheap houses” and shelter for the elderly. The best project author will go to Switzerland for professional development.

Kakheti. On July 15 and 16 International Organization for Migration (IOM) held informational meeting in Gurjaani and Kvareli.The meeting aimed to provide citizens interested in migration with reliable and newest information about issues such as:legal employment opportunities abroad, employment offer reliability, visa procedures and rules of life in foreign country, studying abroad and exchange programs, permanent residence and shelter and so on. The meeting was held by informational campaign of interdepartmental coordinating board providing measures against human trafficking.

Adjara. On July 15 "Hammock” – Audio Disc Presentation was held in Batumi TBC Gallery. Verses of Batumi poets are recorded on the disc. They are completed by Irakli Sharadze’s compositions. The disc edition was provided by the organization "Caucasus” and literary club with financial support of Department of Sport and Your Affairs of Adjara. The presentation was attended by representatives of society organizations involved in arts, members of the Supreme Council, young poets and representatives of Writers’ Union. Edition of audio disks of other poets and making audio-library are planned for future.       

Adjara. On July 15 Civil Society Institute and Foundation "Partnership for Road Safety” organized the event "Green Hour in Batumi” to promote a healthy lifestyle among society. The goal of the event was to promote safe and clean transport. Within the event framework young people cycled Batumi streets from Wonderland square. The clean transport promoting organizers’ aim was to focus on air pollution questions as one of the reasons causing health problems.The second part of the event named "when engine is on” aimed to distribute leaflets to the holders of public transport and cars in Batumi streets. Printed material focused on information about fuel and reducing car use. During event a discussion was also held: "safe, clean, affordable and green transportation place in the modern city". A discussion on City green politics and modern transport problems and challenges was held between "Partnership for Road Safety”, Batumi City Hall Economic Policy, "Batumi in Traffic” Ltd and Batumi Youth Centre representatives.  

Tbilisi. "Georgian Young Constitutionalists Association” assessed the second round of local self-government elections. The organization was monitoring elections in Tbilisi and some regions. "On July 12 the voting was held peacefully and serious violations were not observed. Small incidents and technical violations observed at polling stations should be remarked, however, compared with the first round and previous presidential elections as well quantity and frequency of these violations were much less. Civil Society Institute continues meetings with NGO representatives in regions. The meetings aim to discuss working version of State support conception document of CSOs development. The aim of CSOs development state conception is to support establishing of civil society strengthening mechanisms in order to overcome the challenges facing the society. Meetings were already held in Gori, Telavi, Kutaisi, Akhaltsikhe and Zugdidi. Civil Society Institute will end regional tour in Batumi, on July 18.

Shida Kartli. On July 15 the project "Local Councils to Support Persons with Disabilities” working team meeting was held. Kareli municipality representatives and persons with disabilities of Kareli attended the meeting. They were acquainted with the conditions and requirements of the project. Kvemo Kartli.  "The First Step in Georgia" launches 11 month project - "In Kvemo Kartli region, support to ethnic minority children and youth with disabilities and to raise awareness of social inclusion and promoting the welfare of disabled spheres."The project aims to protect the rights of ethnic minorities with disabilities and social integration of the region, in particular, Marneuli. The organization "Young Lawyers" issues a statement referring to Georgian government about Netbook purchasing tender."Referring the Georgian Government to solve the difficulties arising in the tender of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and name the contractor within a reasonable time that will be able to provide the educational school first class pupils with Netbooks”, said in the organization statement. Tbilisi. On July 14, Georgian Public Broadcasting Council considered the complaint of nine NGOs and one individual. "The complaint was referred to the clergyman’s discriminating statement broadcast on the First Channel” said in media.ge. The Council final conclusion on the case will supposedly be known in a week. The complaint is signed by: Media Development Foundation (MDF), Tolerance and Diversity Institute (TDI), Identity, Young Lawyers Association (GYLA), Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center (EMC), Women's Initiatives Support Group, Women's Fund in Georgia, Cover, Constitution Article 42 and citizen – Nino Bolkvadze. Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia applies to NGOs which have already signed memorandum of collaboration with the Ministry and plan to participate in the process of elaboration of the cultural policy of Georgia. Based on the Ministry recommendation the organizations have got opportunity to address UNESCO affairs national commission for financing various kinds of projects in cultural policy context. On July 13 cycling race was held within Tbilisi cycling week framework organized by the Youth Association "Droni”.The project aimed to introduce a healthy way and popularization of bicycle as transport in Georgia. "We believe that cancelling moratorium is fair and has positive impact on improvement of business environment in the country…”, said in the statement. Tbilisi. NGOs issued a joint statement: "We would like to respond to the GDS-TV program aired on July 9 "flat 18" - a fragment of a woman's body contained derogatory visualization. We conclude that the transfer of the role of men and women openly sexist interpretation of this passage suggests vicious stereotypes that exist in society and contribute to the further strengthening of the need for proper assessment… We conclude that the television station, which claims not tabloid journalism, but also the future of the social - political programs have sexist content to circulate that women's inequality help to deepen, should be condemned”, said in the statement. Tbilisi. Election Environment Development Centre assessed the second round of elections. On July 12 the organization held monitoring the second round of local self-government elections by more than 100 observers in all level electoral administrations. Observers were monitoring process of the opening of polling stations, the voting and vote count and results’ summarizing processes. "Observers did not witness serious violations at polling stations. Based on their information the voting day was peaceful. Small violations were observed which were indicated and precinct election commission responded adequately in-place. Adjara. On July 11-14"Voluntary Forum” was held in Batumi, in which representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations working on voluntary issues were involved. At the forum activity analyses of governmental and non-governmental organizations and their vision for the development of volunteering were represented. Discussions about main aspects of volunteering, bill about volunteering and future measurements to be taken within the volunteering network were also held at the forum.Forum was held within "Voluntary Network” project framework implemented by organization "Borjgali” with partnership of "Guria Youth Resource-Centre”, "The Centre for Educational Development and Employment of Kutaisi”, "Akhaltsikhe Youth Centre” and "Sika”.
